How Did These Models Book Shows So Fast?
GAG Management Company is continuing its push to build international relationships and create opportunities for models to gain valuable exposure in the global fashion industry.
Founder Gerald A. Gordon and a small team of models arrived in Punta Cana on October 14th, ahead of RD Fashion Week, the Dominican Republic’s official fashion week, which runs October 15th – 17th at the Marriott Piantini.
The team’s participation represents another step in GAG Management’s efforts to connect its talent with international designers and industry professionals, while creating opportunities for models to gain runway experience, expand their portfolios and establish relationships beyond their home market.
Gordon reported that the team is already securing bookings ahead of the fashion showcase, with one model booked to appear in four shows, while the other models have secured two shows each.
The opportunities extend beyond the runway, with an international designer also booking the entire group of models for a photoshoot.
“So far, one model has been booked to appear in four shows. The others have two shows booked. We have one international designer who has booked all the models for a photoshoot as well,” Gordon said.
He noted that the models are prepared to make the most of the opportunities available throughout the fashion week. “The models are all in work mode, and everyone is ready to work as they are called upon,” he added.
GAG Management’s participation in RD Fashion Week reflects the company’s continued focus on opening doors for emerging talent through international exposure, industry networking and professional development. Such opportunities allow models to work with designers from different markets, gain experience in new fashion environments and strengthen their visibility within the industry.
For Gordon, building relationships remains an important part of creating a pathway for models to access opportunities outside their immediate market. Participation in international fashion events also provides a platform for management companies to connect directly with designers, photographers, casting professionals and other creative industry stakeholders.
RD Fashion Week will be staged under the concept “Moda con Propósito,” meaning “Fashion with a Purpose.” The October 15–17 event at the Marriott Piantini brings together fashion industry participants for a showcase celebrating design and creativity.
As the event gets underway, the GAG Management team will be looking to build on its early bookings and capitalize on opportunities to showcase its talent.
With runway appearances and a group photoshoot already secured, the models are entering the fashion week prepared to work, network and make meaningful connections as GAG Management continues to pursue its international ambitions.
