About Our Guest

Our guest Melissa Ames, is the founder of RUNfully Global — a worldwide community that uses running as a metaphor to help achieve major breakthroughs — offer opportunities to give back —- and connect the world — all through movement.

In 2018, she ran 13 half marathons across the United States and Mexico. That same year, she traveled to 7 countries in a month to celebrate her 30th birthday to prove that people can connect beyond borders — languages — and backgrounds through fitness. Listen as she tells the story of how she invited complete strangers to run with her in places like Japan and Indonesia that resulted in life long friendships and cultural awareness.

Along the way she faced some daunting challenges that now qualify her as a seasoned international traveler. You can see Melissa’s adventure on the RunFully Global YouTube Channel in 2021.

This episode explores some of Melissa’s domestic and international adventures — what motivated her to launch RUNfully Global, and what she does when she’s not pounding the pavement.
