Our guest, Jamie Edwards is a luxury travel connoisseur, but her definition of luxury is not what you might expect. Her article, 5 Travel Comebacks to Plan Right Now, and her introduction of the “New Planet” vs. “Old Planet” concept combines a healthy dose of realism with a yearning to experience the world once again.
You can find Jamie’s article, and many more on her website Iamlostandfound.com. We also discuss how Jamie embraces her myriad travel experiences despite the pandemic shutdown through one very special collection. Oh, by the way, did we mention she’s an avid photographer.
About Our Guest

My name is Jamie, and I am Lost and Found. This site started as a place for me to record my favorite and most unique travel adventures. A virtual scrapbook, an outlet to showcase a love of photography, and a place to tell a story about where I’ve been.
I am a passionate sharer of my favorite experiences. Like, the most remote and luxurious place to stay on the Troll Peninsula, in Northern Iceland. Or, figuring out the way to get an impossible reservation at the most coveted restaurant in Mexico City. Or, finding the best safari outfitter to track the silverbacks in Uganda. Uncovering the yet-to-be-discovered, is where I thrive.
My current homebase is Washington DC with my husband, two kids, and two black labs named Indy and Shaka. Before DC, it was Tokyo. Before Tokyo, it was NYC.
Much research has gone into making each of these trips and experiences memorable, yet oftentimes I have put it all aside and made a spontaneous call. Sometimes things have gone really wrong – the timing wrong, the season wrong, booking a hotel in the wrong town. But, even when they have gone awry, they always ended up as something worth remembering, and occasionally something even better. I think it’s true that some of the best places in the world are the hardest to get to. But, it has always been worth the effort in the end. Well, almost always.
