Dominica remains one of the safest places in the world to vacation. The pandemic has been under control since the beginning and the protocols in place to protect you from COVID-19 further enhance and protect visitors to this vacation paradise.

The country is deemed so safe that beginning June 30th, British citizens will be able to travel to Dominica without the need to quarantine upon their return. Both Great Britain and the United States are still considered high-risk countries despite America’s success with vaccinations. That does not mean you can’t visit, you simply must take an extra set of precautions and adhere to a few different protocols as outlined below.

In recent years, Dominica has become a popular eco-tourism hub for travelers looking for a unique Caribbean experience. Known as the ‘Nature Isle of the Caribbean’, the nation is famed for its host of environmentally friendly resorts, natural hotspots like the Boiling Lake, and experiences rooted in health and wellness. These features have also made the island an attractive destination for remote workers, digital nomads and those seeking out a practical Plan B to protect their family in light of COVID.

Low infection rates does not mean Dominica has dropped COVID-19 protocols for visitors. Here’s what you should expect.

  1. A negative PCR test result within 72 hours is required for entry.
  2. Fill out the health questionnaire 24 hours prior to entry to Dominica – https://domcovid19.dominica.gov.dm/
  3. If arriving from a High-Risk destination you are required to book a Safe In Nature certified property and after the 5th day a PCR test will be required.

Here’s a quick video to help you navigate Dominica airport protocols upon your arrival.
