Glenroy March Opens NYFW With “The Vault”

D’Marsh Couture Opens New York Fashion Week With A Peek Inside “The Vault”

Jamaican-born designer Glenroy March officially kicked off New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, September 9, with an intimate runway show and presentation of his latest collection, “The Vault,” giving fashion enthusiasts and members of the audience a first look at his vision for NYFW SS2026/27.

Fresh from a recent visit to Ghana, March returned to New York to unveil a collection that reflects his evolving design language while remaining rooted in his signature approach to refined tailoring and sophisticated craftsmanship.

Held at the offices of Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) in Midtown Manhattan, the presentation transported guests into the designer’s conceptual “vault” – a world where fashion, artistry and timeless luxury intersect.

In an interview following the runway show and presentation, March explained that “The Vault” was inspired by precision tailoring, timeless luxury, sculptural silhouettes and the idea of a hidden archive.

The concept allowed March to explore the relationship between what is revealed and what remains concealed, presenting garments designed to command attention through structure, detail and controlled elegance.

The runway presentation was brought to life by models from GAG Management Company of Jamaica and U Models New York, highlighting the growing international connections between Jamaica’s emerging modeling talent and New York’s fashion industry.

For GAG Management Company, the presentation also represented an important milestone, with Founder and Director Gerald A. Gordon leading a contingent of eight Jamaican models making their international and New York Fashion Week debut.

The participation of the Jamaican models added a distinctly Caribbean dimension to the presentation, further underscoring the opportunities available to Jamaican creative talent on the international fashion stage.

March’s NYFW show and presentation also benefited from the support of a number of Jamaican and Caribbean-focused brands and organizations.

A special thank-you goes to this year’s sponsors and partners: Caribbean Food Delights, Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), Tegus TV, JamaicanFood.com and Victoria Mutual Building Society (VMBS) for helping to support the designer’s New York Fashion Week presentation.

For D’Marsh Couture, the opening-night showcase was more than simply a runway show and presentation. It was an opportunity to introduce audiences to a carefully curated world of fashion where craftsmanship, heritage and contemporary design converge.

As New York Fashion Week wraps up, “The Vault” establishes Glenroy March and D’Marsh Couture as part of an increasingly international conversation about fashion, while demonstrating the creative possibilities that emerge when Jamaican talent meets the global fashion capital of New York.
